Abstract
This paper proposes the description of a method to identify
degraded Metal Oxide Surge Arrester (MOSA) in three phase
distribution systems with the analysis of resistive current [1-3]. The
simulation data were analyzed according to the real data measuring
from 12.5 kV transmission line by using MATLAB software. The total
leakage current used to derive capacitive current. The resistive current
in each phase can be extracted from the total leakage current and
capacitive current. The experimental result showed that method which
extract resistive current from total leakage current can be analyzed and
used to determine deteriorating lightning.
