Misunderstanding Language

According to the dictionary, words can have different and multiple meanings, but is that really truth when used in context? Does a word have the same meaning but in a different place? Those are questions to bear in mind before attempting to criticize the way a person talks; a thing that needs to be taught.

Dialect is the key word to be used in this writing. This is a feature language has that makes and gives different colors to language itself, and people as well. This is the responsible of the many misunderstandings people encounter when they move to other part of the language speaking country, or even a total different country.

When the process of language learning is started, we as teacher must consider the previous characteristics in order to five the correct lessons. Unfortunately as there is not just standard language that everybody speaks and that there are a many language variations in the speaking country and inner regions, the most transparent language used, the easier (as well as the more unrealistic) the class is performed and understood.

We teachers are in a strange way slaves of the standard language (the one found in books), and that type of language is the one that unfortunately we must teach and at the same time send dialects to the inexistence.
