Smashing Smoothies
This recipe is an excellent source of vitamin C, which keeps gums and blood vessels healthy. Ingredients:
2 cups fruit 2 cups low-fat milk 1 6-ounce low-fat vanilla yogurt (fruit flavored yogurt is also good) 1 cup orange juice

OR
2-3 bananas 2 cups low-fat milk 1/2 cup peanut butter 2 packets instant cocoa mix

OR
3 cups fruit 3 cups juice (100 percent juice is best) 1 tablespoon sugar and/or lime juice (optional)

Directions:
1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Cut fruit into bite-size pieces, place in blender. Add remaining ingredients Blend on high speed until smooth. Enjoy! Refrigerate leftovers within 2-3 hours.

Tips:

Frozen fruit will make your smoothie thick and icy.
