Opening sequence- screenplay EXT. PARK.

DAY YOUNG GIRL is playing in the park with her BROTHER and FRIEND CHILDREN Laughing and running (slow motion) MOTHER Come on kids its time for lunch MOTHER prepares food for CHILDREN on the picnic blanket BROTHER starts to run towards MOTHER BROTHER Come on YOUNG GIRL BROTHER carries on running until he reaches the picnic blanket and sits down YOUNG GIRL YOUNG GIRL ANTAGONIST YOUNG GIRL feels that somebody is watching her turns to look at the road disappears behind tree turns and runs back to the picnic blanket

EXT. TOWN CENTRE. DAY 3 DAYS LATER YOUNG GIRL and MOTHER are shopping in the town centre MOTHER How was your day at school today then YOUNG GIRL? YOUNG GIRL it was good we did reading then writing and swimming (excited) MOTHER ah wow that sounds great, who did you play with at lunchtime? YOUNG GIRL Emily, Freya, Lucy. MOTHER turns to look in window, not paying attention to YOUNG GIRL

YOUNG GIRL sees something she likes in a shop window YOUNG GIRL runs to see it and gets lost in the crowd. YOUNG GIRL Have you seen my mummy? PUBLIC ignore the YOUNG GIRL YOUNG GIRL (Nearly crying)Oh no I cant find my mummy ANTAGONIST appears in the crowd, looking evil YOUNG GIRL runs to a corner where ANTAGONIST approaches ANTAGONIST Dont worry well go and find your mummy YOUNG GIRL turns around and the ANTAGONIST grabs her YOUNG GIRL wriggles and tries to escape YOUNG GIRL (screams) ANTAGONIST shut up girl (puts his hand over her mouth) ANTAGONIST puts YOUNG GIRL in the car STRANGER rings police panicking about the missing child STRANGER hello sir, I have just witnessed a kidnapping, the child has X hair and X coloured clothes, she looks around the age of X, she was taken in a X car POLICE OFFICER 1 thank you for your help, Im sure she will be found soon STRANGER cuts off call POLICE MAN/LADY 2 receives a message on the walky-talky from POLICE OFFICER 1 describing the girl and where she has been taken from. POLICE MEN are stressed (clock is ticking/beeping)
