DAILY REPORT 26th NOVEMBER

MARKET UPDATES & STOCK RECOMMENDATION Singapores October inflation inched higher to 2.0% y/y (September was 1.6% y/y) as private road transport costs rose 2.7% y/y after declining 2.0% YoY, in the previous month. Core inflation (which excludes housing and private road transport) also picked up pace and reached 1.8% y/y in October, compared to 1.7% a month ago, as food prices rose slightly. According to DBS, the headline number is creeping up and will likely record 2.3% YoY in October. This is up from 1.6% in the previous month but it shouldnt come as a surprise given the recent increase in the COE premiums. The base effect will lapse from October onwards, which spells higher transport inflation ahead. A unit of Singapores Changi Airport Group and Odebrecht SA will acquire Galeao airport in Rio de Janeiro for almost four times the minimum bid to run Brazils second-busiest air hub for 25 years. Changi Airports International and the Brazilian construction and engineering company offered to pay 19 billion reais ($8.3 billion) for Galeao, which will host visitors for the soccer World Cup next year and the 2016 Olympic Games.
