Where will you shoot? For our series of idents, we will be shooting in PDH, a dedicated drama room in the school. However, if the drama room is not available, we will need to use the green screen in a normal classroom in order to create the look of a similar environment. What does it look like? PDH is a dark room, which has black walls and a black floor. This will then enhance the importance of the drummer, as he will be the main attraction compared to the black walls. This will also add to the effect of the spotlight, attracting all o the focus of the ident to the scene being shown and highlighted by the spotlight. How do you access it? We will book the room for a set amount of time from drama department. We will need to arrange specific times and lengths of time to use the room, although this time will need to be a suitable length of time for us to film and also a suitable time so as not to interfere with the plans of the drama department. Thai may be due to production rehearsals, meetings or after-school or lunchtime clubs. Health and Safety concerns; what will you do to stop theses being a problem? Somebody may trip over in the dark. To avoid this we must make sure there are no wires across the floor, no objects used to carry equipment on the floor are completely out of the way. The bright lights may dazzle the students. To avoid this we can keep the brightness of the lights low until they need to be turned brighter, in which case, we will inform the students not to look directly into the lights. Lights falling from the ceiling. To avoid this we must ensure that the technicians have secured the lights into place professionally and safely.
