    Climax: Ah Khaw fell ill, looked pale and thin, laying on the bed all day long Rising Action: Mother force Ah Khaw to wore baju kurung , showing her true intention for Ah Kaw Denouement: Mother and Pak Salleh agreed to convert Ah Khaw

    Exposition: Ah Khaw wore Malay dress for the first time

    Resolution: Mother did not succeed in converting Ah Kaw. He died on malam Jumaat

    Relationship between people of different race. Hardship people face during colonization. Respectful towards other people beliefs and rights.

    SETTING
    Time Setting -1940s= During the invasion of the Japanese army throughout Malaya.

    -Malaya -Kampong Beduk=most of the story happened here. -Sungai road=Sem went to get the opium from.
