Chelsey Greene FCS 435 FinalLeisure Activity May 1, 2013 For this activity, I wanted to explore the costs

of taking a short celebration vacation for my 21st birthday in January. This is something that my friends and I have talked very seriously about, so this provided a great gateway to begin looking at what Vegas has to offer as well as how much all this fun we want to have is going to cost. Our projected dates (and dates that all the pricing is based on) are Thursday, January 30, 2014 to Monday, February 3, 2013. ATTRACTION/EVENT/SIGHT-SEEING PRICE Flight & Rooms at Stratosphere TowerCasino & Resort $351.56 Peepshow (Dinner & Show) $120.96 Coyote Ugly Bar (VIP & Open Bar) $30.00 Casino/Gambling Money $150.00 Bar/Club Money $300.00 Food $125.00 Souvenirs $100.00 Open Top Sightseeing/Big Bus Tour $25.00 Cab Fare $75.00 Exploring the Strip FREE TOTAL $1277.52 I plan to start saving money this summer during my internship while Im getting paid pretty well. I also want to be able to save a lot of this money for rent/utilities during the school year, so I dont want take a lot out of each paycheck. Since Ill be saving a decent amount this summer, I will not need as much out of my paychecks during the school year to live on, so Ill be able to save more out of them for my trip. I will also get a $500 before the spring semester from the Musser Estate that I could use for this trip if necessary, but I would really like to use no more than $200 of it. With this savings plan, I will be able to save almost the amount that I need, plus a little extra for unexpected costs. SAVING METHOD AMOUNT Internship ($75 per pay period) $375.00 Alumni Office ($100 per pay period) $800.00 Musser Grant (make up the difference; less than $200.00) $200.00 TOTAL $1375.00
