Description Once the students come into the gym students will get a ball and practice snake dribbling (dribbling in and out of cones). Students will rotate from their dominate hand to non-dominant hand. Good Afternoon Class! My name is Mr. Zehnacker. When I blow my whistle (Blow) I expect for you to stop what youre doing look and listen. Today I expect everyone will follow all directions when given and if you are unsure of any direction please ask me. For safety, everyone will need to be aware of their surroundings and maintain personal space at all times. Today we will be continuing our basketball unit and we will be focusing on passing. Did you know that the first basketball hoops were made out of peach baskets and the first backboard was made of wire. Can anyone show me the triple threat position? For the demonstration I will be working one on one with Montrell to improve his dribbling and his passing skills. Teaching Progressions Show some of the major tasks/activities listed on your Activity Progression Worksheet within the selected level of (PC/C/U/P) for the class. Tasks (Extensions) - Activities for the whole class. E.g. Hit the ball over the net to your partner 10 times. Cues (Refinements) Simple secrets to improve performance. E.g. Low to high Challenges (Applications) - More game-like chances to practice the same tasks at the same difficulty level. E.g. In 90 seconds, see how many times you can hit the ball to your partner. 1. For these activities students may go through the obstacles faster and try and make it more of a challenge to use only their non-dominant hand. Modifications Add modifications to make the tasks easier and harder according to the skill level of the students.

Adaptations Assessments, Reminders Remind Montrell to stay on track and there will be no shooting till the end.

If Montrell behaved during class we will play a game of one on one basketball. Great job today Montrell, we will now go over you behavior chart and see how you did. Can anyone tell me the three different types of passes and can anyone show me the triple threat position and tell me why its important? Now I will help with the drop off of Montrell.
