Its titled Joyas Voladoras by Brian Doyle This reading started off describing a humming bird. At first, I was like, how in the hell is this helpful to this class?. As you read it describes the heartbeat, the heartbeat of a humming bird and a whale and how fragile, no matter how big or small it may be. We have approximately 2 billion heart beats for life. We can either use them fast like the humming bird or slowly like the whale. Discussed in class, it still confuses me and amazes me to this day the description of the fragile heart at the end of the short reading. I only interpreted the necessary to use the heart wisely and however you want. I guess it has to do with writing what the heart desires and using it in our project, that what I interpreted it from what Professor Campbell wanted initially. This reading makes you really think what the heart is made of and what it can go through. Though most of it is describing the humming bird and whale, the last paragraph or two touches you deep and makes you wonder what really the heart is like and what it goes through.
