How Do I Use the ActivTable?

What is the ActivTable?


The ActivTable is a touch screen computer with 6 hot spots to allow 6 people to work in a collaborative manner on group work, problem solving activities and to make decisions together.

How Does it Work?


It is easy to use with intuitive tools and activities. It also has reporting tools so tutors can see student contributions.

Who Should Use the ActivTable?


It is suitable for all students as activities can be differentiated for different abilities and learning styles. Software can be installed on tutors computers to aid planning and lesson customisation.

What Do I Do With It?

How do I turn it on? Look for this button on one of the short edges of the table. Press and hold for a couple of seconds for it to boot up.

Press on Activities and Applications probably the most useful icon for teaching and learning.

These are the current activities you can choose from to engage your learners.

Using an outwards pinching motion on the table will reveal another layer of activities.

Click on your choice of folder and explore the contents.

What do I do next?
Ask Edd Talbot or Jonathan Bond regarding use within a classroom in College. However, you are free to come and learn more either by trying it out in the Innovation Lab or asking for a bespoke session.
