Your Excellency, It is indeed a great honour for us to welcome you here today for this momentous occasion. The launch of the construction of the 20 million passenger airport terminal at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is the cornerstone of the ongoing expansion and modernization works at JKIA that are at various stages of implementation. We also wish to sincerely thank you and your government for the support accorded during the fire crisis on August 7th, 2013 and the subsequent restoration initiatives of the airport facilities. I am pleased to inform you that because of this support, JKIA is now operating at a high level of operational efficiency.

Your Excellency, In preparation for the construction of the construction of the 20 million passenger project, KAA initiated consultations amongst the different stakeholders. So far, we have held a series of consultative meetings in which the players have got an opportunity to engage the architect on the design of the project so that the final outcome meets all our current and future needs. We wish to thank you for bringing all aviation security organs under one command and we will continue to involve all stakeholders as progress with the construction.

Your Excellency, I wish to thank you once again for finding time from your busy schedule and grac ing today's event.
