Habitat for Humanity ReStore West 3015 N. 114th Street Wauwatosa, WI 53222 Ms. Krebsbach: I am writing to you with interest in the manager position at the Milwaukee ReStore West. I believe that the combination of my previous work and volunteer experiences provide me with the qualities needed to excel as the manager of the ReStore West. As the current president of Marquette Habitat for Humanity at Marquette I have gained valuable leadership experience while expanding my knowledge about Habitat for Humanitys mission. I have been a member of Marquette Habitat for four years. Three years ago I took the role of volunteer coordinator, which involved me coordinating the schedules of eighty students each weekend. Two years ago I assumed the role as President of the chapter. As President I: lead eboard and general membership meetings, create the calendar of events each year, head the grant writing effort and other leadership roles. As a Habitat for Humanity affiliate, I understand what the ReStore needs to accomplish in order to support the affiliate. Habitat for Humanitys mission and values are very familiar to me and I am able to articulate them. My current job at Colectivo Coffee Roasters provides me with excellent time management and communication skills needed. The caf environment is fast paced and the main objective is to deliver outstanding customer service each time while maintaining a friendly, safe environment for everyone. I can effectively prioritize tasks, delegate and receive assignments, and work independently or in a group to complete duties. The caf environment is demanding when it is busiest and most times the line is steady for hours at a time. Through my time at Colectivo, I am able to focus on problem solving issues as they arise while working consistently on daily cleaning and closing duties that benefit the collective group. I believe that this environment has provided me with the necessary time management and communication skills needed to be an effective manager at the ReStore West. I believe that my service experiences, character, and my willingness to be challenged are all attributes that I possess that will compliment the manager position at the ReStore West.
