Bouncing Activity for Children and Adults

Invite the children to sit on the adults outstretched legs. Sing the song, bouncing the children to the beat of the song. Be sure to let the children fall gently backwards on your legs each time Humpty falls. Listen for the falling down slide of the trumpet in the recording. Imitate the sound with your voices. Sing and bounce with the recording. Variations (for class without one adult per child) Children are seated. All sing the song bouncing hands to the beat on the knees. On the word fall, all fall forward on their knees. Repeat the song while standing. All jump and fall. Bounce scarves to the song.
