A Rose for Emily by William Faulkner For this project, you will be retelling the Southern Gothic story

A Rose for Emily, written by author William Faulkner. As a class, we will read the story, stopping to clarify difficult parts and to discuss ideas and concepts from the text. Once weve read the story, you will work in groups to innovatively retell A Rose for Emily. The Assignment: After reading A Rose for Emily by William Faulkner, characterizing the main character, describing the setting, and identifying themes, select one theme to focus on. Then, innovate! Retell Faulkners story in another way but still show the same character development and themes. You can make a photo essay, film, updated story, radio broadcast, comic book, or almost anything else, as long as you keep the general plot of the story and theme in tact. This assignment is due Friday December 13 or Earlier! The Rubric:
