Auditions and Rehearsals Auditions begin at the very beginning of each semester in September and February. You sign in when you get there and you get a number. They call small groups up onto the stage in number order. After you do the combination you learned you state your name, your year, and a fun fact about yourself. A few days later you will find out which dances you are in. Rehearsals all depend on the choreographer. Some of them want their dancers to meet 2-3 days a week and some only meet one day a week. Rehearsals usually last anywhere from 12 hours Performances The organization has at least one performance each semester. Past performances include Home and Carry On. This years performance is Strut. At each performance, RDE collects donations for charities, such as Red Cross. Background Info RDE was founded in 2006. It was originally part of the dance department until Kellie Ortman established the group as independent so it could produce more student choreographed shows. RDE started out as a small organization with about thirty students, and now has more than eighty members.
