Protective Equipment for X-ray Image Intensiers
The Intensier Protect is an effective device to protect X-ray image intensiers. The Intensier Protect Logger goes a step further still in that it adds long-term logging capabilities. The equipment is simply integrated in the image intensier monitor / video chain and detects the following X-ray system states: Unattenuated radiation (no specimen in the beam path) Partially unattenuated radiation (highly structured specimens) Monitor adjustments entailing dose rates possibly too high for the image intensier Specimens left in the beam path (unless they cover the entire image intensier)

Close evaluation of the detected states allows to take protective measures against blooming and thus to extend the life of the X-ray image intensier.
