New Concord, OH 43762 To whom it may concern, I am writing to express interest in the choral director position at John Glenn High School. My education, experiences working in diverse school districts, and positive attitude make me a strong candidate for this position. While working toward my Bachelor of Arts in Music Education at Muskingum University, I participated in Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, and worked closely with faculty members as an Administrative Assistant. I am also an active member of the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Mens Music Fraternity Beta Lambda chapter of which I held the title of Music Director. Currently, I am also an IT technician and Assistant Band Director at Harrison Hills City School District where I manage equipment, sensitive student and staff information, and assist in educate students in both choral and instrumental ensembles. My experiences at Harrison Central have opened my eyes to my love for educating and helping others. I have gained confidence in my ability to educate students in the ways of music, as well as help them develop into great leaders. I believe music should be a part of every students education. It provides a greater ability to open the mind to new ideas, creates an expressive environment to build ones self-confidence, trains students to develop their listening skills, and encourages them to work with others.
