September 11, 2013 Dear Parents and Guardians, Hi!

My name is Lauren Bowman and I will be student teaching September 11 to December 6 in Ms. Yoders 2nd grade class. I am so excited to get to know each and every one of your children! Second grade is such an important year, and I am so glad that I get to spend it with Ms. Yoders class. I am a senior Early Childhood Education and Mathematics major at Bucknell University. Over the past three years, I have observed and helped at Kelly, Linntown, and Montandon Elementaries in grades 1-4. This summer I helped plan and teach Kinder Camp in Danville to prepare the students for kindergarten this fall. I also teach two dance classes/week at Lewisburg Dance Conservatory. I have always wanted to teach elementary school because I believe all children should develop a love of learning and I want to be part of that process.
