Work Experience: June 2009- present (summer job) Intern Plumbline Consulting Findlay, OH 45840 I made spreadsheets, handled company documents, updated contact lists, and filed and submitted expense reports. I also had to use good communication and collaboration skills as I had to interact with customers and the other staff members on a daily basis. July-August 2013 Dorm Supervisor Miami University Summer Skating School Oxford, OH 45056 I managed a group of 24-29 kids ages 10-15 on a daily basis, supervising them as they went to their camp activities, demonstrating skating techniques on the ice, and helping with any injuries and homesickness they may have had. I had to use good communication skills as I interacted with them in order to make my authority known but still be close to them, and also had to use collaboration as I interacted with counselors for other groups so we could provide the best experience for the kids. I plan to work this same position next summer as well. September 2013- present Tutor Rinella Learning Center Miami University Oxford, OH 45056 I tutor university students who are having trouble with coursework. I typically meet once a week with students and go over key concepts from their classes, addressing any problems or needs they may have. I also guide them in creating good study habits, such as creating concept maps, outlines, or flashcards, to help prevent future troubles. I have to use good communication skills with these students as I figure out the issues they are having, create strategies to fix them, and ensure they are retaining information correctly.

September 2013- present Group Lesson Coach Goggin Ice Center Miami University Oxford, OH 45056 I teach group lessons to kids who are learning how to ice-skate. I coach them once a week on basic skating skills and clear up any problems or issues they may have. I also use communication skills to get my points across, and collaboration skills, as I interact with my fellow coaches.
