NOTES:
Monday I will write a content area word or phrase on the board, then the students must quickly gather their knowledge on the topic and write as much as they can in one minute. This helps with writing fluency. Tuesday Students will write their own story problems for their peers to answer. They must find the answer to their story problem before quizzing their friends. Wednesday During Social Studies, students will write letters to a loved one pretending it is their last night in the Alamo. They must write about what was going on, the atmosphere, how they felt, etc Thursday Science Fiction Story: After learning about food chains, the students will write a fictional story applying their knowledge of food chains. Friday Students will have a chance to reflect on anything from the week.
