1. Define Industrial Relations. Discuss the scope of industrial


relations system and explain the role of various agencies involved
in industrial relations system.

2. What are the different methods available in the settlement of


industrial disputes under the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947?

3. Explain the principles of “workers’ participation in management”.


Discuss the process of workers’ participation in management in
comparison with the process of “collective bargaining”.

4. Explain the procedure for fixation and revision of wages under the
minimum wages Act 1948. What are the arrangements for its
enforcement?

5. What is a misconduct? Explain the scope and procedure involved


in holding a domestic enquiry.

6. Who is an “employee” under the payment of Bonus Act, 1965?


Explain the concept and status of “stationary Bonus” in the light of
privatization of industry in liberalized global economy.

7. Explain the procedure laid down in the Trade Unions Act 1926 for
registration of a Trade Union. What are the advantages of such
registration?

8. Discuss the objectives of Workers’ education policy in India. Trace


out the role of Boards of workers’ education towards achieving
these objectives.
