WORK EXPERIENCE: Constitutional Rights Foundation June 2013 August 2013 Intern with WriteGirl (WG) Collaborated with other girl interns to run office such as when we formed an assembly line to prepare gift bags and in organizing the office Researched information concerning writing workshops such as all girl high schools, natural places, scholarships and input it into documents Set up and organized for events: Packed WriteGirl materials (sign in sheets, nametag stickers, warm up activity stickers, journals, camera, and other items necessary) Packaged and addressed books sent as thank yous to WG supporters and picked up and delivered mail to appropriate person VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE/ COMMUNITY SERVICE: Sing in St. Thomas Apostle Church Choir Sept. 2012 Present Sing every Sunday at mass. Attend practices every Thursday at 6, or whenever theyre assigned. Do Something Organization active member July 2011 Present Fight for causes I am passionate about. Whether its searching for ways to help out online, texting my friends to spread the word about monthly campaigns, or doing the yearly Do Something Hunt, which lasts about 11 days where teens have to act on the days mission. Heal the Bay proactive member Sept. 2010 Present Attend beach cleanups every few months and keep tally of the objects we find for their Annual Report. St. Thomas Apostle Church retreats May 2010 Present I help take care of the children and work together with the nuns that are in charge of the days fun activities. I attend the retreats twice a year. EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: Journalism Class/Online Newspaper Sept. 2012 June 2014 Provide our high school with the latest news, features, sports, fashion, technology, etc. On Broadway Musical March 2012 May 2012 Performed a variety of songs from different Broadway shows including Rent, Fiddler on the Roof, Grease, Hairspray, etc. Had the lead role in the song America from West Side Story. M.E.S.A Club Dec. 2011 May 2012 My Geometry teacher persuaded me to join because he said I scored the highest in the CST. Went to almost every weekly meeting for some time to apply scientific concepts to real life situations. Heal the Bay Club Sept. 2010 June 2012 Attended beach cleanups at the Venice Beach Pier every other Saturday of the month. SKILLS: Fluent in English and Spanish.
