What are my qualifications? None. But I dabble in photography and am pretty good at finding stuff on the web and occasionally take a good picture. (See b-and-n.smugmug.com) Why are we doing this? Lets try to learn a little more about photography. Ill teach you what I know, you can teach me what you know, and well look for stuff together. Whats our goal? Win some prizes at the Del Mar and Ramona fairs. Equipment requirements A camera. Any camera. Well, after all, it is photography.

Edit and print the picture 8 x 10. No rules other than you must be in the picture. Write a description of the picture you took and what it says to you. Do not refer to what you wrote before.

Send it to Mr. Buchanan. Write a comic strip, any length, using pictures and/or words, illustrating your story. (Next month youll photograph the story you created. You must have a minimum of two photographs in the story. Edit and print the pictures any size and past them sequentially onto paper and staple the paper into a book so that you have a picture story. You can add text if you want, but please do not explain the story. I want to see if others can understand your story without explanation.)
