GENERAL INFORMATION 1. Meetings are adjourned until the start of rehearsals- 5/20/13. 2. Personnel list should be available after next week for all summer positions.

THE 39 STEPS
Scene Design &Tech Direction Lighting Design Properties 1. Planning to build flats and crates this week. a. George needs drafting when possible. 2. Red curtain will be draped and rigged to prevent tripping hazards. Reference sketches. 3. Hanging lights this week. 4. Begin pulling props. 5. Finalized props list will be available before the start of rehearsals.

GRAND NIGHT FOR SINGING


General Information 1. Calendar distributed- revisions made. a. Reminder- there is no Corporate Preview. b. Steve utilizing clean-up rehearsals 6/5-6/6. c. Tech rehearsal call times i. 6/9-6/10 6:30pm call/ 7pm GO. ii. Final Dress 6/11 6:45pm call/ 7:30pm GO. iii. Performances run same as final dress. 2. Projector power point- Karen working on content revisions. a. Need to get updated drawings to Steve. b. Verify CD cover dimensions and layout with Paul Finnochiaro. c. Need to establish image duration. i. Fade out at beginning of song? ii. Visible during entire song? 3. If available, can have blacks rehung to match ground plan. 4. Will focus projector and trace screen dimensions. a. Karen will need to adjust image dimensions to either fit, or be layered with a black trim.

General Information 1. Calendar distributed- revisions made. a. There is a Corporate Preview 6/24. b. Tech rehearsal calls i. 6/21-6/23 6pm call/ 6:30pm GO. ii. Corporate Preview 7pm call/ 7:30pm GO. 2. Revised concept- see reference images below. a. Raise kitchen up a level: 8-9 rise. b. Move front door to UCS. c. Replace window above alcove with bookshelf. d. Add door to the bed/ bath SL (originally the bookshelf). i. Shorten alcove to fit in door along SL wall. e. Need to see a revised ground plan and sketches. 3. Set Dressing a. Functioning clock. b. T.V. (placed DSL/ facing US). c. Change chairs to a couch? Place DS on the diagonal. 4. Floor treatment- painted line to establish playing space. 5. Practicals to consider a. Central light above the kitchen. b. Lamps. 6. Ideas for renovation during the show. a. Hanging/ adding drapes? b. Removable layers of luan? 7. Discuss set dressing and props with Karen. 8. No addition requests from the Director.

SPAMALOT
Scene Design & Tech Direction 1. Rough concept sketches. Think castle keep. 2. Towers set DSR/SL proscenium arch. a. Consider alcove sight lines, etc. 3. Considering flown backdrop for castle scenes? a. Would need a separate rolling platform for scenes played on top of the wall. b. Need to consider whether the CS wall will be flown or movable to various US positions during the show. c. Could use 2D flats for Trojan Rabbit/ Mud scenes. d. Option to have actors hold small pieces, e.g. fish village. 4. Vegas scene- use of tacky sign and gaudy curtains? 5. Lady of the Lake- can walk thru the CS wall- gate. 6. Consider flying portcullis and other small tacky pieces. 7. Incorporating large projected animation movie mode a. Working Chris on animation. b. Can use multiple screens with one rear projector (recommended.) c. Optional use of generic signs to minimize making

Considering using the scrim and cyc. g. Will be using animation with Voice of God scenes. 8. Questions for the Director a. How to block the Black Knight loosing arms and leg? b. Flying in Tim, or faked through another plan of action? c. Desired dance numbers for Jaclyn and Paul Finnochiaro to choreograph? 9. Look into building cow durable for being launched from castle wall. a. Possible to stuff adult animal costumes?
