1) Repetition:
this
floor
plan
has
many
examples
of
repetition,
including
ceiling
beams,
arched
doorways,
and
the
same
blue
drapes
on
every
window.
2) Radiation:
The
common
area
seating
radiates
around
the
dark
coffee
table,
as
well
as
the
dining
chairs
around
the
dining
table.
3) Gradation:
this
room
has
many
examples
of
gradation,
from
the
varying
sizes
of
candlesticks
to
the
different
hues
of
brown
in
the
flooring,
furniture,
and
textiles
in
the
common
area.
4) Transition:
the
lines
in
the
room
lead
the
eye
to
the
back
rooms.
The
beams
in
the
ceiling,
the
chandeliers,
the
placement
of
doorways,
and
placement
of
furniture
all
create
a
visual
line
for
the
eye
to
follow.
5) Opposition:
Orange
and
blue
are
opposites
on
the
color
wheel.
The
orange
seating
pads
in
the
dining
area
contrasts
the
soft
blue
of
the
curtains
throughout
the
floor
layout.
