Eugenio Caballero

Eugenio Cabellero was the production designer for the

2006 film Pans Labyrinth, for which he won an Oscar for best achievement in art direction. He was responsible for designing the real world environments that conflicts with the fantasy world, using two different design approaches. The real world environments were made to feel cold to and dark to resemble the events that happen while the fantasy world uses warm colours and surreal architecture to emphasise the fantasy elements. I like the production design on this film as it makes the film believable by the use of the conflicting designs and colours used.
