Calculating the area and perimeter of the soccer pitch

On November 12th 2013, 5 ren calculated the area and perimeter of the HKA soccer pitch. 5 ren calculated this by estimating and then nding out the actual answer. Thinking in are heads for an an answer was going to way off so we to 1m long strides and we all got are different answers because we were working independently. My estimated answer was 34m in length and 25m in width. After estimating we calculated the actual answer we used three tools trundle wheel, meter stick and ruler stick.

We used the trundle wheel to measure the meters of the pitch and used the meter stick to measure the end part of the pitch and the ruler to calculate the smallest space at the end. We did the width and length all together and had a width of 23.59m and a length of 31.19m so the perimeter is 109.56m and a area of 735.7721m2!
