To slipsteam an OS: -View Slipstreaming Windows 2000 /XP SP1,SP1a,SP2 /Server 2003 SP1 (TTID #295) If you encounter any problems: - View Slipstreaming and Bootable Disc FAQ's (TTID #313)

Preparation
Note: Skip this section if you have slipstreamed your OS using TTID #295. The following items are required:
A copy of the original Windows CD/DVD or ISO. A copy of the Boot Files (Downloaded Below). A minimum of 1GB available hard disk space for CD's.

A minimum of 5GB available hard disk space for DVD's. Create a folder called OS on your hard drive (C: is used in this example). In this folder create two sub-folder called BOOT, and ROOT.

Using Easy CD and DVD Creator 6


Note: Links to regarding Easy CD and DVD Creator 6 are found at the top of this article. Start Easy CD and DVD Creator 6. Select File > New Project > Bootable Disc from the menu.

Set Bootable Disc Type: to No Emulation. Click the << Advanced button. Set Load Segment: to 0x000. Set Sector Count: to 4. Press the Browse ... button.

Locate the BootSector file (boot.ima) in the folder C:\OS\BOOT. Click the Open button.

Click the OK button.

Select File > Project Properties from the menu.

Set the File System to Joliet. Set the Physical format of CD to Mode 1: CDROM.

Click the Advanced tab.

Enter MICROSOFT_CORPORATION in the Publisher Name:, and Prepared By:. Select Use original file date.

Click the File Filter tab. Select All Files. Uncheck Do not add Hidden files. Uncheck Do not add System files. Click the OK button.

Select all files and folders in the C:\OS\ROOT folder. Note: Some files are not show in the following image. Click the Add to project button. Click the Burn to disc button.

Select Record CD under Record Options. Select Disc-at-Once under Record Methods. Click OK button.

Wait for CD creation to finish. Click the OK button.

Process complete. You're done.
