Keyboard
It is an input device Keyboard one of the first peripheral device
used with computer Entering text and numbers Alphanumeric keys that look like typewriter.

Standard Keyboard layout


Keyboard for personal computers come in many
styles. The various models different in sizes, shape, but except for few special-purpose keys, most keyboard are laid out almost identically. Among IBM-compatible computers, the most common keyboard layout is IBM Enhanced keyboard. It has 101 keys arranged in five groups. Layout is some time called QWERTY, because first six character of first row are Q W E R T and Y.

Alphanumeric keys

Alphanumeric keys consists of numbers, alphabets,



special characters This part of keyboard look like typewriter Along with the keys that produce letters and numbers, the alphanumeric key group includes four keys that have specific functions. i.e. The Tab, Caps Lock, Backspace and Enter Keys.

Tab key moves cursor inches Caps lock when pressed capitalized characters Backspace key erase character as you type Enter Key feed commands, can executes command with this key

Modifier Keys
Shift key in conjunction with other alphabet
keys produce capitalized character Ctrl + key provides shortcuts for menu commands Alt + key enables you to navigate menus without using mouse
