Conduct large group lesson plans for morning meeting and gym. Create weekly plans for the activities and classroom environment. Write-up and implement a curriculum plan for the semester. Collaboratively work with the head teacher and other student teachers to plan the classroom environment and discuss lesson plans. Dec. 2011 Worked individually with a 1st and 4th grade reading buddy. Created and taught lesson plans on reading and writing for each reading buddy. Conducted reading and writing assessments to observe and record the childrens reading and writing skills, and then shared the childs progress with their classroom teacher. April 2010 Arranged classroom set-up with classroom teacher according to designed lesson plans. Provided assistance while the children were working on math and science worksheets. Assessed the childrens independent reading using a reading assessment provided by the lead teacher. Assisted lead teacher in classroom management strategies to address behavioral issues.
