Myth #1 - “I can motivate people”
Fear is a great
motivator but only for a
very short time.
Lot of yelling from the
boss, don’t spark the
light in a long run.
Too much of bawl out
can also ruin one’s self
esteem.
Myth #4 - "I know what motivates me, so
I know what motivates my employees"
Not really!!! people
are not motivated
with same things.
What you do for one
employee could
demotivate other.
Keys is to understand
the individual
employee.
Myth #5 - "Increased job satisfaction
means increased job performance"
If organization goals
are not aligned with
employees, then
increased job
satisfaction has no
implications.
Govt. employee
though highly
satisfied but yet a
poor performer.
How Should be the Environment
• direction, resources and respect
employees for work keeps them
motivated, and desire for achievement
never comes down.
