Self-management is vital at any managerial level in an organization. However, self-management as a freeagent will be imperative. In an ordinary organization there is management above you to set goals, priorities and provide feedback on performance. As an employee you can address your superiors for help and direction. As a free-agent you are limited, mostly, to yourself to provide these functions. As a result, we will have fit into both hats. One of an employee producing the work, service or product, and the hat of our supervisor who takes a step back and looks at work produced and judges is for the value and quality it provides to the employer. Molt_ people I have met in the business workLar.e.moLcapablesf fairly judging themselves. In my eight years experience as a manager of a law firm I have found that most emproTreerab not know how to take creative " criticism no matter how soft it is delivered. If I was to ask an employee to judge his or her own work product, rarely would someone find flaws in themselves. Humans as a species always look for external faults, blaming themselves only as the last resort when all else failed. Therefore, those of us who can look at faults in ourselves first, fixing those mistakes and growing will excel in a free-agent economy. Everyone else will blame

Needs organization example.
