This document investigates how jet width is affected by Reynolds number and position from the jet origin using computational fluid dynamics. Figure 1 shows that as Reynolds number increases from 400 to 900, the jet width also increases. Figure 2 shows that for a Reynolds number of 100, the jet width grows larger as the position on the x-axis moves farther from the jet origin. Equations are provided that model the relationship between jet width and both Reynolds number and x-position.
