response, reaction, or connection to idea: Its interesting how people think about wilderness very differently than people do now. Cronan explained this by saying this is occurred due to a cultural invention. Before, wilderness meant waste, barren, and savagecertainly a negative annotation. However, people now turn to wilderness for peace and quiet observation about style or form: Biblical allusion was used in these two pages when Cronan described what wilderness was like for Adam and Eve, and contrasted that idea with the concept of wilderness people have now question this could prompt for class: I found this quote very interesting.
