De la Seora:
First, thank you for blessing me with the cookies and fruit. My family was quite happy to receive them! Thanks also for the many Christmas gifts. You blessed me beyond words. This was a fun week with our Christmas theme. On Facebook you can see some pictures of the pajama day when we talked about hibernating animals. There are also pictures from our day of coding that we celebrated by practicing computer programming on the iPad. There are also some pictures from our party today. When we come back in January well do a brief unit on polar bears and penguins before starting in to a new language arts unit the following week. I hope you and your family have a restful break that is full of joy and happiness together. See you next year! Bible: These last weeks we have been


telling the story of Jesus birth and celebrating the joy of Christmas.

Math:
* Finished Unit 4 and had test * Math review with Christmas themes

Language Arts:
Our theme last week was on playing. Our main selection focused on a childs soccer team. We read lots of stories practicing our syllables of the week and then wrote sentences with our new words. We also learned some vocabulary related to sports. This past week was all about Christmas. We talked about hibernating animals, our family Christmas traditions, gingerbread cookies, and the coming of winter. We read stories and wrote about animals and our Christmas lists.
