    Beautiful Day!

    Marigold-bright sun shining down


    warm wind caresses my face,
    sunflowers growing like radiant jewels in my garden
    ... as butterflies grace the air ...
    I breathe in deeply...

    It’s going to be a beautiful day!

    the sound of children laughing


    breaking through gray-blue silence
    short bursts of joy
    interspersed with my thoughts, dancing
    like bright colored swirls on tan canvas...

    It’s going to be a beautiful day!

    Feelings of happiness,
    warm my soul, candy-colored streaks
    of shining light
    can’t explain this growing blissful presence
    but I like it-!

    It’s going to be a beautiful day!

    Hope springs forth, silver-pink strands


    that fill my once-bruised spirit, overflowing -
    a smile spreading over my face
    that I can’t stop,
    warm-golden sunshine-happy pouring down over me

    It’s going to be a beautiful day!
