    Main Goals of Professionals for the Year Ahead

    Table 1 shows profile of professionals while Table 2 shows main goals for the year ahead according to age group. Different age groups have different goals for the future. Highest rank for junior executives from the 18 to 27 years age group was to make more money while for the senior manager from the 46-55 years age group was to be healthier. The junior executives who have RM 3000 average income and 5 years average working experience considered improving technology and communication skills as their second and thirds goals respectively. Meanwhile, senior managers who earn an average income of RM 10,000 and have an average of 20 years of working experience were prioritising to be more healthy and save money. Furthermore, senior manager that 95% are married more focused on spending more time with family rather than making more money, improving skills and making new friends. On the other hand, junior executive that 40% are married ranked spending more time with family as their least important goal. In conclusion, the two groups have different goals for the year ahead.
