Strategic Human Resource Management- Summer semester

Group Project

1. Please make a group of five students of your class and select a group
leader.
2. Select a company (having more than 100 employees), which you would
like to study.
3. Make a Project Report on Strategic Human Resource Management based
on the approach given in the text book like: ‘investment perspective
toward human resources, environment scanning, strategy formulation,
strategy implementation, impact of human resources practices and human
resources evaluation’ :

I) Develop a standard model of your project topic

consulting your text book and reference material.
II) Study the company you have selected vis-à-vis
standard model you have developed as stated above
and collect data.
III) Analyze the data and identify the strengths and
gaps/deficiencies in the company.
IV) Give your findings and recommendations for making
the improvements in the process/procedures of the
company.

4. The project should consist of 35 to 40 pages, typed in font size 12 in a

simple and clear font style, single space, on A4 size paper.
5. The Project Reports should be submitted on September 5, 2009.
6. Presentation session of the Project Reports shall be held on
September 8 &10 on multi-media, in which:

I. Each group will have 25 minutes; each member of respective

groups will speak for 5 minutes to present his portion of the
project.
II. Audience will have 5 minutes to ask questions and make
comments at the end of each presentation.
III. Group leader of each group will start to give introduction &
overview and conclude the respective presentation.
