Share with us your SafeStartTM experience either at work, while driving or at home and

1. This competition is open to permanent employees in Asia of the following business

units:
(a) Systems and Service
(b) Centre of Excellence in Engineering
(c) Manufacturing and Technology (including APPH)

2. The winner will be judged on the lessons that can be learnt and how SafeStart can be
applied.

3. Each person is entitled to only one entry.

4. The story or experience can be prior to learning SafeStart (in retrospect) or current.

5. The story or experience shall not be a third party story.

6. Story can be written in the local language or English.

7. Johnson Controls reserves the right to share the experience from those participating.
Names and location will not be published.

8. Decisions on winners are final. The organizers will translate the winning entry into
English to share with other countries.

9. The contest starts from 01 September 2009 (00:00 HK time) to 15 October 2009 (23:59
HK time). Emails dated between those dates are eligible. All time and date references are
HK / Singapore / Philippines / Malaysia time.

10. SafeStartTM Master Trainers, Trainers and EHS Coordinators are not eligible to join
the contest.
