We also have been observing the life cycle in action. Many of the snails and guppies have died and students have experienced first-hand what to do with a dead animal. Math 1st Grade We have been working on solving story problems and paying close attention to whether the problem is talking about more (addition) or less (subtraction) of something. 2nd Grade We learned about the difference between odd and even numbers by thinking about if a number can be divided into partners (making groups of 2) and if the number can be split into two equal teams (making 2 groups). The skills learned in these lessons will help to build a foundation for learning multiplication, which happens later in the year.
