I am truly honored and humbled that God has called me to serve as Interim Student Minister at LGBC! I have been so blessed to get to know our students and their families over the past couple of years, and it is a privilege to be able to work even more closely with them through the Student Ministry. I am so grateful to those who take time out of their busy schedules to serve our students and offer me advice and assistance, including Audra Lawson, Amy Fleenor, Michael Strickler, Debbie Gilbert, and Kristy Walters, just to name a few. We have recently been focusing on how we can Grow Gods Garden and identifying the different areas of the Garden. In growing ourselves, our studies have been focused on strengthening our relationships with the Lord, Biblical relationships with each other, listening to and knowing

Gods voice, and how to be good stewards of that which the Lord blesses us with. To help grow our church, our students have recently been serving through presenting drama programs and making ribbons for Pink Sunday. We have also been helping grow our community by showing Gods love through serving at events like Coopers Race and taking popsicles to children at Model City Apartments. We all know that the preteen and teenage years are some of the most difficult years in a persons life. Research shows that it is during these years, the vast majority will choose whom they will serve and that decision will have great impact on their future. It is our commitment to you as a ministry, that we will teach and model the truths of the word of God and build a biblical foundation that will withstand lifes storms.

Although there is no greater voice in the life of a teenager than that of a parent, I am truly thankful for the small part you allow me to have.
