Monday 17th February

MON 17th Janani Luwum, archbishop, martyr, 1977 Give thanks for chaplains in the workplace. Pray for all to whom they minister, and pray that we all would be mindful of our faith in our working environments. TUES 18th Pray for all who govern our country; that they would always seek to act for the good of society and for those who have the greatest need. WED 19th Gracious God, we pray for peace in our communities this day. We commit to you all who work for peace and an end to tensions, and for those who work to uphold law and justice. We pray for an end to fear and for comfort and support to those who suffer; for calm in our streets and cities, that people may go about their lives in safety and peace. In your mercy, hear our prayers, now and always. Amen. THURS 20th Please pray for the Polesworth Deanery Breakfast which is taking place today. FRI 21st Pray for children educated in our Church schools and for their teachers, asking that they would ourish in their learning together and come to know Gods love. SAT 22nd Revd Edwina Wallace, of St Chads, Sutton Coldeld, writes: As St Chads reaches out into the community we pray for the success of Coffee Pot, which provides fellowship for lonely, bereaved and older people on Friday mornings. We give thanks for our young families and the joy their children bring to the church.
