What is the price of four tires, mounted & balanced, front end aligned from each store?
Which is the best deal?
Trussville Place:
89.00 (4) = 356.00
356.00 (.05) = 17.80
356.00 - 17.80 = 338.20
338.20 + 4 (10.00) = 378.20
378.20 (.10) = 37.82
378.20 + 37.82 = 416.02

Price of 4 tires
whole (%) = part, Amount of discount
Whole price - discount = new price
Price of tires + mounting and balancing
whole (%) = part, Amount of tax
Price + tax = what you pay

Review
Go through the old tests and homework. Write down everything you do not fully understand
that I need to go over.
Write 3 times.
What are the steps to solve an equation?
- Remember the goal - What does 1 of the unknown equal?
- Choose the sides for the variables and constants.
- On the variable side, if not a variable, get rid of it by using the
opposite operation on both sides.
- On the constant side, if not a constant, get rid of it by using the
opposite operation on both sides.
- If not only 1 of variable, get rid of coefficient by using the
opposite operation on both sides.
- If it is an inequality - If you multiply or divide by a negative number
change the direction of the sign.

Review
Work the long way (what it means) and use the trick.
Make sure the answer is the same either way. (Why was it not the same in class?)
