    Hosted by The University of Texas McCombs School of Business and the Texas Exes, Subiendo is an intensive leadership academy

    that asks participants to address issues facing the next generation of Texas leaders through both business and policy creation.

    The academy will take place Sunday, June 15 - Thursday, June 19 on the University of Texas campus and is open to current high school juniors who will be seniors in the fall of 2014.

    ThERE IS NO COST FOR STUDENTS TO ATTEND

    Students will move away from the traditional classroom experience by participating in role-playing exercises centered around issues important to the future of Texas; interacting one-on-one with business, political, and community leaders and experts from around the state; and developing skills to take their ideas and turn them into reality.

    Subiendo is a competitive program that is open to all students throughout the state of Texas. First generation students are strongly encouraged to apply. Applications are evaluated on a number of factors including academic achievement, community involvement and leadership, essay questions, and a teacher recommendation.
