CONCLUSION

CVD is very common in all stages of CKD They contribute significantly to the morbidity and mortality of CKD patients. Available evidence (though few RCTs) support early diagnosis and treatment of CVD risk factors in our CKD patients. Preventing cardiovascular diseases in CKD is a logical step in reducing mortality in this patient population.
