ProcessPaper AfterthebombinginPearlHarbor,AmericabelievedthatJapaneseAmericanswerea threattothenation,sincethebombingthathadbeencommittedbyJapan.Thousandsof JapaneseAmericanCitizenswerethenthrownintointernmentcamps.TheU.S.governmentwasputin atoughspot,havingtochoosebetweenthousandsofangeredcitizensandtheJapaneseAmericans.We choseourtopicbecauseitinterestedusonhowsomanypeoplesrightscouldbestrippedawaywithout asecondthought.Webelievedthiswaswrong,andwantedtolearnmoreaboutit. Weconductedourresearchontheinternetatourhousesandtheschoollibrary,andusedthe schoollibrarytofindseveralbooksontheJapaneseAmericaninternmentcamps.Sincealotofpeople arenotawareofthecamps,itwasdifficulttofindbooksourcesinourlibrary.Wehadtobranchoutto otherplaceslookingforrecommendedbooks,whichhelpedusfindplentyofbooksources.Wealso watchedseveraldocumentariesofJapaneseAmericanstalkingabouttheirexperiencesincamps.There wereevensongsabouttheJapaneseAmericans. Wechoseawebsitebecausewewantedtoincreaseourcomputerskills.Wedesignedour websiteinawaythatwouldnotborethejudgesandkeeptheminterestedthroughouttheentire presentation.Wetriedtosticktoamaincolorpaletteofbrown,tan,andredsothejudgeswouldnot bedistractedbydifferentcolorsandwouldbeabletofocusonthemaininformation.Wetriednotto usetoomuchspareinformation,andtriedtokeepthereadersattentiononthemaintopicofthe JapaneseAmericansrightsandResponsibilitiesduringWWII.Withthewebsite,wecouldusemore waystoshowhowtheJapaneseAmericansweretreatedduringWWIIwithmusic,videos,andwords. OurtopicrelatestothetopicofthisyearsHistoryFairbyshowinghowtherightsofthe JapaneseAmericanswerestrippedaway,andhowtheyhadnewresponsibilitiesintheinternment campsthattheyhadnothadbefore.Ourtopicshowshoweasilytherightsandresponsibilitiesofa wholegroupofpeoplecanchangebyanothersactions.TheU.S.governmenthadtheresponsibilityof takingcareoftheJapaneseAmericans,evenwiththebombingatPearlHarbour.The JapaneseAmericanswereignoredduringWWIIbytheworldwhentheyneededthemthemost,leaving themwiththeweightofkeepingtheirwholeculturalgroupinAmericahopefulanddreamingoftherights thattheywerestrippedof.
