Erald: Community Dialogue For Purposeful Living From Midlife and Beyond Sunday, October 4 From 2-5 PM
A n increasing number of us are living longer than our parents or grandparents. We are
an aging society. Boomers begin turning 63 and in 2010, 37% of Puyallup's population will be 45
and older. Many of us have watched our parents age and pass away without having alternatives
that allowed them to live life to the fullest in their own homes.
What do you want as YOU grow older? How do you envision Puyallup 20 years
from now? What do you want and expect from your community in order for you to
remain living in your home as long as you desire and continue giving back as you
age? How can Puyallup respond to an older population and become an elder-
friendly community?
Ifyou are 40 or older, please join us at this important community dialogue to:
• be inspired by the energy, ideas and vision of others as we design an elder-friendly community
that allows us to live with zest as we age;
• receive a report of the community dialogue within four weeks and
• become involved in your community's future planning if you so desire .
