Top Notes Box

Materials
10 ½ x 7 3/” card stock
5 ½ x 8 ½ chipboard, poster board or carton (cereal box)
Designer Paper
Scissors
Scorer
Round Corner Punch
Stampin Up Top Notes Die
Glue or Double Stick Tape

Score the 10 ½ x 7 ¾” card stock on the 10 ½” side at 1”, 3 ¾”, 5 ¾”, 8 ½”

Turn the card stock to the 7 ¾” side and score 2” on each side

At the 1” score line side, cut off the card stock starting at the 2” vertical score line to the
3 ¾” horizontal score line
Repeat the step to left side. Your card stock should appear as shown in the photo.

Turn the cardstock to the 10 ½” side and cut starting at the 5 ¾” vertical score line to the
2” horizontal score line. Do not cut off the piece . . .just cut straight up. Repeat the step
at the 8 ½” vertical score line
Repeat the steps to the other side (top of the card stock). When completed, your card
stock should appear as shown in the picture

Punch the corners of the card stock using a round corner punch on the 1” score line side.
When you’ve completed punching the corners, the 1” flap should appear as shown in the
picture

Apply double stick tape or glue to the 2 x 2” flaps as shown in the picture
Assemble the box and tape the flaps to the inner aspect of the box

To create a hard top, run the Stampin Up Top Notes die through chipboard to create two
pieces. If you don’t have chipboard, poster board or carton to create a hard top, you may
use card stock or a thick designer paper

If you’re going to use chipboard as instructed above, run the Stampin Up Top Notes die
through a designer paper
Glue the Top Notes shape (designer paper) to one of the Top Note shape chipboard

Glue or tape the Top Notes Shape (designer paper) to the top of the box cover
Glue or tape the other Top Notes shape to the bottom of the box

Decorate as desired
