Target Age Group: Ages 3-5 Theme: Christmas Title of Activity: Ornamental Prints Curricular Area: Art Table Date to Use Activity: December 9th- 13th Developmental Goals Physical Development- fine motor skills, using their hands and the muscles in their wrists to drag the ornament to make shapes on the christmas tree Learning Objectives Given christmas ornaments and a cut out of a christmas tree the children will decorate the tree Materials Required Christmas Ornaments Tree cut outs Paint

Motivation/Introduction: "It's your turn." "Time to paint!"

Procedure: The childern will get a pie pan with white paint and some christmas ornaments, of different sizes and shapes. They will have a cut out of a christmas tree, they will dip the ornaments in the paint and dab them on the christmas tree cut out. They can make it any way they want. After they are done they will put it on the dry rack to dry.
